We are MatchBocs.
Founded in Aberystwyth, Wales by three students with a passion for entrepreneurship and sustainable fashion.
With the need for us and other students to buy and sell clothes we found that popular sites charged too much for both buyers and sellers so came up with the idea of a community based system.
Where local people advertise to other locals and, once their items sell, drop off their items to local boxes that the buyer can pick up, avoiding all delivery costs and other hidden fees.
Through this we also came up with the name, Match representing the fact we match buyers and sellers together, bocs (Welsh for box) representing the boxes that items are dropped off to.
Our logo is the flowers of the four countries that are closest to our brand and founders, the Welsh daffodil as the place we met, the others being the national flowers of each of our respective countries, England, France and Germany.
